Content marketing isn’t nearly as important as doing content marketing correctly, and knowing that it ultimately comes down to the audience and how well they’re

If there is one basic watchword to use in terms of content marketing is this;

  • make your content resonate with your target audience
  • tailor it to suit

There are all sorts of styles you can adopt:

  • gentle humour
  • vibrant straight-talk, the big bang
  • scene setting

These are just a few ideas. The first things you need to do are to analyze who your targets are, your target audience and your potential buyers. What age range are they in? What income bracket are they in? Gender? Tastes? Interests? Are they pub types, fine dining restaurant types, football terrace types, day out with the kids in the park, drive to the seaside, ski in Switzerland? All of these qualifying questions and the full range of similar will help identify what your targets will react to in a positive manner. The you need to deliver it – through channels your targets will use, at the time they are likely to be usiing those channels and in a way that will catch their eyes and make them remember it all and you.

When you have built a characterisation of your targets, then you can start to build, to create something that becomes a branding and mrketing stream. You build by fitting one to the other, but do it creatively.

Content Marketing – styles, copy, design … 1

This is definitively a digital world in which we live. Much of this globe has its lives centred around what is and is not presented via the web. Business is no different and so even for the small business having an online presence is a must. How that presence is cast is something else. It is not just about making a bland or bald statement of what your business is about – it is so much more. We have to put out there all of the basics – contact details, places, opening times, what is sold, what services are offered etc. On top of all of that we have to do it in a way that catches the eye, intrigues the mind, makes it all interesting to potential customers or clients. This means doing all sorts of things:

  • adding suitable imagery, photographic or graphic,
  • saying the right thing, in other words presenting the right copy, having the right taglines
  • perhaps adding video, styled in a particular way, coloured, styled well with good audio
  • it may mean doing it via audio itself, a podcast or such
  • choosing the right channels to present it all.

What we have to sort out along the way is how we present things – what sort of style we are going to use.

… and here are a few things just to get you started …

Content marketing is an effective way to reach your target audience by offering relevant content that addresses their needs. Here are some tips to success.

Resources, design, styles

If you want to reach your target audience it is useful to have not only the right message being put out there – you need to present it in a very particular way. Perhaps you could style it in a way that is familiar to those people or businesses. But then again, perhaps you could do something that will catch their eye, use a style that they will certainly notice. It may be something not quite so comfortable for them but gives them pause for thought. To do any of this you will need the right resources to deal with the work yourself or someone to do it for you (and yes you can talk to us about this – check out our site on wix – f4mmedia, we can and will help pretty much no matter who you are or where you are).

I do have a bit of a thing about leaves – you will find a few leaf based resources on the sellfy site.

Part of what you can do is to use video. Here are some animated patterns which could help in your creations.

Here are leaf images combined with two quite different sorts of fonts. Sit and think about what you want to achieve – the delivery is important, just as the actual item(s) being sent. What style, what typography, what palette, what tagline  – these are all things I have said before.
