Social Media – a few ideas

Even the small business can make use of social media to aid in their promotion and marketing. Indeed, facebook pages and groups are often ideal for many small outfits, artists, craftspeople and the like. There is the added advantage in that customer relations can work out far more direct and personalised, less a case of the corporate wall before current or prospective clients or customers. Tumblr is often useful for the more arty of businesses and producers but other businesses can find real value there. Any business that can use pictures/images – of their products, people enjoying the services offered, the results of work done – all such can find a use for Instagram and Pinterest. Any business can manage to find a use for promotional video, hence Youtube and following on from that, facebook, twitter etc. can all be used for business purposes.

It’s all about geometry. The trend is design right now centers around interesting shapes and layers that combine to create stunning visuals. While there have been periods where squares or circles were the shape of choice, that has shifted to more interesting asymmetrical shapes, lesser used elements such as diamonds and layering of shapes of all kids. Here’s what’s trending in design this month: 1. Diamonds The simple diamond shape that you drew in elementary school is popping up in plenty of designs. From use as a container for photos to an outline for visual emphasis to the dominant part of a photograph, the shape has plenty of flexibility. And it simple. This style is no more than a square turned on its side. The sharp lines make for interesting reference points in the design and can add an element of motion or direction that doesn’t exist otherwise. The diamond stands out in these designs because it is so different. While the shape can be used in a number of ways, it can be

Understanding type can be one of the most difficult elements of design. There’s a lot of terminology and lingo that type designers (and designers, in general) use when talking about lettering. Sometimes it can be tough to decipher it all. If you find yourself wondering what the difference between a hook and a counter are […]

Here’s the point of emphasis… That’s the theme this month. This collection of trends focuses on adding emphasis to the design with specific detailing from italics to split screens to stark, minimalist backgrounds paired with a trick or two. Here’s what’s trending in design this month: 1. Split Screens Split screen design was something that started gaining traction in mid-2016 and now it is a big deal. Browse through collections of website design and split screen outlines are everywhere. What’s nice is how quickly the style has evolved. Early split screen designs featured mostly symmetrical designs with a yin and yang style aesthetic. The new split screens have a more “anything goes” feel to them. The three examples below show three very different ways to use the same trend. Rency uses a split design to contain a loop video and the main navigation. The contrast between the white area and red is stark and forces the eye across the screen. It also ensures the user will find the

Print – Design, Marketing and more

Although we are mainly a digital agency – creating design, online marketing, social media, video production often for small business – we still find a use for print. It has its uses!

We can design for your print needs – whatever they are – business cards, brochures, bifolds, trifolds, flyers, leaflets, catalogues, either from existing templates or radically new and to your tastes and ideas. For those of you in the UK, particluarly South Yorkshire and close, we have done a deal with a print supplier and can get the printing done as well. Give us a shout – 08432895485, design@f4mmedia.com or via the website – http://f4mmedia.wixsite.com/content

Giving people a chance to take something away with them, to read later, for reference and for when they feel the need is a sensible approach. A business card given to a potential customer/client gives them a chance to get in touch with you after a chat. Brochures give a slightly more expanded look at what you do, what you offer.

With all of this we can use any one of a countless list of ready made templates for you, or we can design precisely to your needs – something new, something original, something keyed to your needs, your business. We can write all of the copy to insert into whatever document you want producing and use original, royalty free imagery.

In addition, we can also add to the list posters, banners, roller banners, e-books, e-zines and so much more.
